UPS and Cooling Upgrades Within Live Data Centre Environment Case Study

Averys was appointed as lead electrical contractor to support multiple UPS upgrade works within an operational data centre, located inside a larger live data centre facility. The project was delivered within a highly sensitive environment where system resilience and continuity of service were critical to ongoing operations.

The scope involved the careful replacement and upgrade of multiple UPS systems serving live equipment, requiring detailed coordination, risk management and temporary power arrangements to maintain continuous supply throughout the works.

Alongside the UPS upgrades, Averys also delivered improvements to the in‑room cooling systems, enhancing environmental performance and supporting the upgraded electrical infrastructure. All works were closely integrated to ensure both power and cooling systems operated reliably and efficiently following completion.
